JOBS are to go at a Kirklees factory.
Up to 45 workers at a factory in Scholes, Cleckheaton, face losing their jobs. Employees at Cold Drawn Products (CDP) were told that over two-thirds of the workforce face redundancy due to declining sales. The company employs 61 people in Scholes and has another factory in Low Moor, making wire products. CDP’s parent company Bekaert said the decision was due to ‘declining sales’ and plans were in place to split production between Low Moor and India.
