HUDDERSFIELD MP Barry Sheerman has revealed payment for four outside activities in the new register of MPs' interests.

He lists that he is a member of the environmental scrutiny board of waste management company Onyx UK and an academic adviser to Arcadia University in Philadelphia, USA.

MPs have to register interests worth more than £590 - 1% of their salary.

The register gives details of MPs' financial and business interests as declared by November 1.

Mr Sheerman also records being a paid director of Networking for Industry, a not-for-profit company promoting UK competitiveness and Parliamentary communication with industry.

He is also on the board of Urban Mines, a not-for-profit charity promoting sustainable use of resources.

Mr Sheerman also reveals he receives income from letting a small one-bed flat in London.
