A VALENTINE Ball has raised thousands of pounds for a Kirklees School.
The ball, at Bagden Hall, Scissett, on February 2, raised more than £4,000 for Birds-edge First School.
Around 140 guests attended the event, organised by the Friends of Birdsedge Committee.
As well as the sale of tickets, funds were raised through sponsorship from Simon Blyth Estate Agents, an auction, raffle and the sale of photographs by Shepley-based, Lifestyles Photography.
