A VAN driver was taken to hospital this morning after a crash on Penistone Road.
The crash happened at around 9.47am between a white Ford Transit Van and a green Nissan Primera which was parked.
The van driver suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Police closed the road near the White Swan Pub which has caused heavy traffic disruption in the area.
Buses to Huddersfield University's Storthes Hall Campus have been diverted causing delays.
Anyone with witnessed the crash should contact police on non-emergency 101.
