CUSTOMERS ran for cover as thugs pelted a hairdresser’s.
The vandals smashed windows in the newly renovated shop on Sheepridge Road at 1pm on Saturday.
At least two masked men ran from the abandoned parochial house on the other side of the road and pelted the hairdresser’s with bricks.
Four customers and two members of staff were in the shop at the time of the attack.
The culprits, who were wearing hooded tops, struck the windows seven times during the incident.
The hairdresser’s is part of a row of four shops which has recently benefited from new shop fronts installed as part of Kirklees Council’s Deighton and Brackenhall Initiative.
