VANDALS have defaced a shop four times in a week.

Julie Aston, who owns JJ’s sandwich shop in Crosland Moor, is angry that her shop keeps getting daubed with graffiti.

“I think it’s disgusting,” she said. “Whoever is doing this should have something better to do with their time than damage my property.”

On October 6, vandals daubed obscene graffiti on the shop’s front door. The following day, the front door, window and side door were all defaced. Two days later graffiti appeared on the front door again.

The Park Road shop was defaced for a fourth time on October 13.

Julie, who has run the shop since last May, said: “I have to spend time cleaning off the graffiti. I had the shop decorated when I started and I don’t want to have to do that again.”

Julie has informed police of the problem.

She said: “They’re looking into it. I think we need a youth club in the area to stop kids roaming the streets in the evening.”
