VANDALS have been on a tyre-slashing spree in Birkby.
The culprits have attacked 20 cars over the last five days, causing damage of well over £1,000.
Cars have been attacked on Halifax Old Road, Wheathouse Terrace, Poplar Street and King Cliff Road, among others.
Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: "We would urge people to be extra-vigilant in the Birkby area.
"Most of the crimes have happened in the evenings or late at night.
"It may well be that the culprits live in Birkby. Someone must know who is responsible."
