A SUMMER variety show in Marsden will feature an evening of laughter, singing, dancing, sketches – and the unexpected.

The show is staged by Marsden Operatic Society at Marsden Parochial Hall from next Wednesday to Saturday at 7.30pm.

It is the brainchild of Vivienne Payne who has devised the show and is responsible for producing and choreographing as well as being wardrobe mistress and appearing in it.

She is assisted by husband Malcolm and children Holly and Chris – as well as friends from the society including Peter Armitage who will compère. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Duncan Matley on drums and musical director Jeff Taylor on keyboards.
