WARNINGS have been issued to drivers after a spate of car crime in the Colne and Holme valleys.

Police are urging caution following a series of thefts of cars and of property from unlocked cars.

A bag was taken from a car on Royd Street in Slaithwaite on April 6 while the owner was in a shop.

Four days later a car was stolen from Britannia Road in Slaithwaite after the owner left the keys in the ignition.

And on April 17 a thief tried to take a car from Manse Drive, Cowlersley. Officers later arrested a suspected.
