A MAN was knocked unconscious and then kicked repeatedly by robbers who stole his car.

The 30-year-old victim had stopped his car on Hall Cross Road in Lowerhouses at 10.15pm last night to get something out of the boot.

But he was then set upon by three men.

He was hit on the head and knocked out, but as he lay on the ground unconscious he was then kicked several times.

The thieves stole his car keys and drove off in his maroon VW Golf.

The car, registration number H642 ENC, is still missing.

All the attackers are white. One is aged 22 and 5ft 11ins tall with short dark hair.

Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: “This was a nasty attack which carried on even though the victim was unconscious.

“If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area we would appeal for them to come forward and talk to us.’’
