DETECTIVES were continuing to question a 20- year-old man who was arrested in West Yorkshire over the death of his mother.
The body of 49-year- old Maxine Penfold was found at an address in Cullompton, Devon, on Tuesday, by a neighbour.
Her son, Philip Wayne, was arrested near Hartshead Moor services on the M62 on Saturday and taken to Devon for questioning.
On Thursday, detectives said they wanted to question Mr Wayne, who had not been seen since his mother's body was discovered.
Mrs Penfold died from multiple stab wounds sustained in what the police said would have been a "frenzied attack" with a knife.
Mr Wayne lived with his mother, stepfather Stuart Penfold, 57, and 17-year-old sister Gemma for 13 years.
