IT is set to be like a scene from one of Charles Dickens’ novels.
Friends of Slaithwaite Spa Park are delighted to open their Victorian Street Market this weekend.
Between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, an array of entertainment will fill the park.
Gig Pigs Happy Hog Roast and Vanilla Bean’s irresistible ice cream will provide a bite to eat while Slaithwaite’s own Empire Brewery will host a beer tent.
Arts, crafts, food stalls, displays, demonstrations, games and a tombola are set to keep the whole family entertained.
Traditional music will come from Slaithwaite Band and Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra.
There will be street entertainment a-plenty including gold and silver statues, fire eaters and jugglers while donkey rides will be available for the children.
To enter the park use Manchester Road or Bridge Street from Slaithwaite Centre. On-site parking will be available for disabled badge holders only.
