HUDDERSFIELD was hit by almost an inch of rain in less than four hours this morning.

The downpour began about 6.30am and by 10am, there had been 21mm. That's equivalent to 25% of the total monthly rainfall in just four hours.

Weather expert Paul Stevens warned of several more hours of heavy rain to come later today and into tomorrow. Roads hit by flooding included New Hey Road, Rastrick, and Leeds Road, Cooper Bridge.
