PEOPLE in Almondbury plan to celebrate St George’s Day in style.
The celebrations will start with an evening march of local Scout groups.
The parade, featuring members of Huddersfield South East District Scouts, will make its way from the village Scout hut to All Hallow’s Church.
The parade will arrive in time for a 6.30pm church service to mark St George’s Day.
After the service there will be a dinner featuring traditional British food, with music provided by Woodsome Beck orchestra.
The celebrations will finish with patriotic songs and flag waving.
Proceeds will go to the church fundraising committee.
The festivities follow the success of last year’s event.
