VILLAGERS are objecting to a fetish club's bid for a sex establishment licence.

A total of 28 people signed a petition sent to Kirklees Council.

Another five individual objections were received.

Bosses of the Nemesis 2 Club in Honley are making their application after it was revealed they operated for more than a year without a licence.

At the time, local councillor Mike Bower said he was happy for the club to continue as it had disturbed nobody in the village.

The club is asking for a licence to cover private events after 9pm and the manufacture of sex equipment during the day.

Councillors are due to meet next Monday, April 11, to discuss the application.

It is likely they will delay a decision until a later date, when the applicant and objectors will be invited to attend.

Fetish nights are held about three times a month at the club in Crossley Mills Business Park, New Mill Road.
