A HONLEY pub is to re-open with a brand new look next week.
The Coach & Horses in the centre of the village has been shut since July.
It was included in a study in the Examiner about fears for Huddersfield’s traditional pubs, many of which have closed.
But new licensee Andy Taylor is determined the new-look pub will be a success.
He has spent tens of thousands of pounds on a complete refurbishment for the pub.
And he plans to open to customers next Wednesday.
Mr Taylor took over the reins at the Coach & Horses on July 13 and almost immediately closed the doors.
“It needed a complete refurbishment and that is what we have done.
“Workmen have been in there almost every day throughout the summer and it has been transformed.
“There is a new bar, new interior fittings and a complete new kitchen.
“We intend opening as a pub bistro and I intend to have food available every day of the week.
“I’m a fully qualified chef and am returning to this trade. I am really looking forward to the reopening.”
