VILLAGERS joined the Mayor of Calderdale, Clr John Hardy, for Christmas celebrations at West Vale Memorial Park, near Elland, on Saturday.
The mayor turned on the Christmas tree lights and unveiled a bench in the park to commemorate the Queen’s diamond jubilee.
The event included an appearance from Father Christmas and a raffle.
Clr Hardy said: “There could have been more people, but everyone that was there enjoyed it.”
