POLICE are appealing for information about a mini crime spree in New Mill and Jackson Bridge.

They believe three burglaries that took place at the weekend may have been connected.

Property including a DVD player and a computer tower were taken from a house at Bank Street, Jackson Bridge, between 11.30pm on Friday and 11.30am on Sunday.

There was no evidence of forced entry into the property. Between 1.30am and 8am on Sunday, the Red Lion pub at Sheffield Road, Jackson Bridge, was broken into.

The thief got in through a window and took a set of keys from the kitchen. They tried unsuccessfully to get into the bar area before making off with the keys.

In the third incident, between 2am and 10am on Sunday, a thief took car keys after getting in through the door of a house at Sheffield Road, New Mill.

A silver Ford Puma with a 51-registration plate was taken.

Police want to hear from anyone with information about any of the three incidents.
