FUNDRAISERS have helped a cash-strapped nursery.
Grange Moor Playgroup is losing £80 a day.
Volunteers raised £600 with a sponsored walk around Pugney’s Country Park in Wakefield.
Kirkburton parish councillor Jonathan Myers took part.
He said: “It’s possible that if things don’t pick up the playgroup would have to close.
“It would mean parents having to take their children to Flockton or Lepton, which isn’t easy if you don’t drive.”
