POLICE searching for a missing walker in the Peak District have discovered his body.

Peter Henshaw, who suffers from Huntingdon's disease, was last seen on Wednesday morning about two miles from Glossop, above Longdendale.

Mr Henshaw, 43, from Lundwood in Barnsley, had intended to walk from the Reaps area, near Torside Reservoir, to Edale before catching a train back to Barnsley.

Derbyshire Police said a body, which was found on Bleaklow Moor, had been formally identified as Mr Henshaw last night.

A spokesman said police inquiries were continuing and Mr Henshaw's family were being kept fully informed of developments.

Andrew Lawrence, 58, has not been seen since 2.30pm on Monday, November 29, when he was walking in Crossley's Plantation, about a mile from his home in Brownhill Lane.
