Walkers get once-a-year chance to visit Robin Hood’s grave on outskirts of Huddersfield

WALKERS have been urged to take a once-a-year opportunity to visit Robin Hood’s burial ground.

Calderdale Heritage Walks is organising tours of Kirklees Estate near Cooper Bridge.

The site – which includes a nunnery, old farm buildings and Robin Hood’s grave – is normally closed to the public.

But walkers can visit Kirklees Estate on July 2 and 3. To book a £4.50 ticket call Hebden Bridge Tourist on 01422 843831.
