THE British Heart Foundation is calling on walkers from Huddersfield to scale the county’s three highest peaks and help to raise £100,000 in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The 25-mile hike takes place on Saturday, July 24, and participants will climb Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Carl Jones, of the BHF events team, said: “This event is fast becoming one of our most popular events and people are always so supportive of it.”

Entry for the event, which is for over 18s only, is £15. For more information or to register or volunteer, visit bhf.org.uk/Yorkshire, call free phone 0800 085 2280
