A popular pub in Holmfirth which has been transformed over the last four years is up for sale.
Specialist property adviser Christie & Co has been appointed to sell the Toad and Tatie in Woodhead Road.
Culinary entrepreneur Mark Irving, who owns and runs the pub with his family, has refurbished and transformed it, but is now looking to retire from the pub trade.
The pub has two garden and balcony areas which lead down to a beer garden patio, and is decorated in a contemporary style with two dining rooms with seating for 80 covers.
There is a central bar with seating to one side and a wood burning fireplace. The first floor contains the three bedroom owner’s accommodation.
Christie & Co says the owners have created a successful food-led pub which offers popular a la carte and tapas menus as well as local cask ales on tap.
Oliver Brown, at Christie & Co, is handling the sale, and said: “This pub is a fantastic opportunity for an operator who wants to get trading immediately, as all the investment has already been made, and the pub has been decorated to a really good standard inside.
“There is scope to extend the opening hours, particularly over weekends, as the pub currently trades Tuesday to Saturday, and opens from 5pm. The flat above surpasses the standard of most pub accommodation and has a spacious, contemporary feel.”
Christie & Co’s Leeds office is marketing the pub on either a freehold basis at £375,000 or leasehold at £70,000 with negotiable terms.
