AN alleged 'bail bandit' wanted by police has been arrested.

Aaron Simpson's photograph appeared in the Examiner on Wednesday.

It was given out by police who had been trying to track the 23-year- old Huddersfield man down after it was alleged he had failed to attend Huddersfield Magistrates once and Batley and Dewsbury Magistrates twice on motoring offences.

His photograph was among many issued by West Yorkshire Police as part of Operation Turn- up - a Government-led campaign to bring people who fail to attend court to justice.

It involves publishing photographs and details of offences that have been alleged against them.

People with information are urged to phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Crimestoppers co-ordinator Det Sgt Ian Froggett confirmed Aaron Simpson had been arrested.
