DETECTIVES in Huddersfield are appealing for witnesses after a man posing as a police officer called at the home of an 86-year old Marsh woman.

He tricked his way into the pensioner's home in Lawrence Road but fled empty-handed after being confronted by the woman's son.

Nothing was stolen from the victim during the incident, which took place at around 11:30am on July 6.
