AN escaped prisoner may be heading to Huddersfield.
Simon King attacked a security guard and escaped from Thetford Magistrates' Court in Norfolk after he was sentenced to two months in prison for vehicle crime on Thursday afternoon.
He has strong links to the Huddersfield area.
Det Insp Paul Durham, of Thetford CID, said: "We are appealing to anybody with any knowledge of his whereabouts to contact police directly or via Crimestoppers.
"I will add that anybody harbouring Mr King would be breaking the law and would face being prosecuted," said Det Insp Durham.
King is not considered dangerous.
