A SHOPPERS' road train and free car parking have been lined up top help boost town centre trade over Easter.

Professor Popoff and his festive train are making a return trip to Huddersfield.

The train, which gave rides around the town centre over Christmas, will be back for the Easter weekend.

The train arrives in Huddersfield tomorrow for the rides.

The £1 tours will continue on Saturday and Monday between 10am and 4pm.

From its station outside Huddersfield Library, the five carriage vehicle will run along Victoria Lane, the pedestrianised King Street and New Street and into Ramsden Street.

Each passenger will receive an Easter egg to munch on their journey.

Alison Campbell, assistant town centre manager, said there would be no charges for on-street parking or at council-run car parks on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
