Police want to trace these two men in connection with the theft of a mobile phone from a coat in a restaurant.

Footage shows two men entering Rioja Tapas in Uppermill with one of the men, who was wearing a baseball cap, sitting down next to the coat stand.

The other man, who appears to be wearing a scarf, heads over to the bar and begins talking to the young woman behind it, pointing at things behind her.

As she is distracted, the other man uses his left hand to reach over to the tan coat.

He then stands up, chats with his friend and the bar woman, before both men leave.

The footage was recorded at around 5pm on March 1.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to Rioja Tapas just before 6.40pm.
