The Duke of York got an invite back to a Bradley school by its excited children after this morning's visit.

The Duke was visiting St Thomas CE School in Bradley to see the school’s Code Club in action.

And Alfie Reed, a sports-mad year five pupil, told us: "He was great, he can come back and visit us again.

“It was much better and exciting than I thought.”

Prefect Mubarrah Tanvir, a year six pupil, added: “I though he was really nice and friendly.”

The Duke saw year five and six pupils creating code for games in his role as Patron of the national Code Club, a network of coding clubs for children.

And he helped the reception class test the games the older children had created.

Former St Thomas pupil and current Huddersfield University vice-chancellor Bob Cryan helped set up the visit so the Duke could see first hand the achievements of the young pupils.
