They’re never ones to pass up on a challenge.

Officers at West Yorkshire Police showed off their moves as they took part in the latest viral craze to sweep the internet.

Performing the Running Man Challenge, PC Amjad Ditta and his colleagues danced to 90s track “My Boo” by Ghost Town DJs.

They were joined by students from Wakefield’s CAPA College as they boogied in high-vis jackets.

One female officer even pulled out her breakdancing moves for the video, which was organised and filmed in the officers’ spare time, while horse-mounted officers sit in the background before PC Ditta says “Boom!” to the camera.

Pc Ditta is working as West Yorkshire Police’s positive action co-ordinator to encourage more people from the ethnic minorities across the region to look at the police as a career.

He began his career as a Police Community Support Officer in Kirklees.

The challenge involves filming yourself doing a running man dance to the song and posting it online.

The phenomena has been sweeping social media sites, with the challenge having already been done by Kingston and North Wales Police.
