KIRKLEES residents can order free water butts from today.
The council is launching a drive to promote water conservation and has 900 butts to give away.
The water butts are available in two sizes (190 litre and 100 litre) and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis due to limited availability.
A water butt can save extra water for dry weather. It can save litres of treated tap water and lower water bills if you have a water meter and is easy to fit and use.
The offer is available to residents of Kirklees Council residents only, limited to one per household and allocated on a first come first served basis.
