MIRFIELD residents will get the chance to talk about a huge roadworks project.

People affected by water mains work due to start early next year will have a chance to find out more at a customer forum.

There will be a chance for local people to speak to project leaders from both Balfour Beatty and Yorkshire Water at the meeting.

Project manager Ian Johnson said: "We can listen to their concerns.

"We may not be able to resolve them all, but we can try."

Work is expected to begin around January 10 and may be finished by early March.

The customer forum will be held on Thursday November 11 at the Salvation Army Hall, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, between 4pm and 7pm.

Steve Parsley, of Yorkshire Water, said: "There will be a lot of information for residents.

"We are giving people a chance to find out where and when we will be in your area."
