PEOPLE are being invited to take part in a watery event to boost cancer care in Huddersfield.

A one-hour session of aquafit - exercises in water - has been organised at Scissett Baths from 1.30pm this Sunday.

It will raise money for Huddersfield Royal Infirmary's Breast Cancer Appeal.

Fitness instructor and former cancer patient Maureen Woodhouse has organised the event.

A similar session last year raised more than £400 for the charity.

Maureen said: "Everyone is welcome to take part, although we are advising people to book as space is limited.

"It doesn't matter if you have never tried aquafit before."

A raffle will also boost the fundraising.

The class costs £3 and to book a place call 01484 22907.
