PUB regulars needed a stiff drink after getting their bodies waxed for charity!
Staff at The Woolpack pub, in Almondbury, held the rather painful fundraiser to raise cash for Kirkwood Hospice.
They hold fundraising events for the charity, based in Dalton, each year.
Staff from the Pink Skin Care and Beauty Care Clinic in Westgate, Almondbury, provided the enthusiastic session
The leg waxing idea came from customer Steve Taylor.
He was joined by manager Chris Marsden and owner Daniel Martin in the excruciating experience.
Meanwhile, the women of the pub had a far more relaxing time when they were treated to champagne as part of their Ladies' Ascot day, organised by staff member Fiona Brown.
Mr Martin hopes the two events will raise more than last year's total of £1,300.
He said: "We hope to raise £2,000 this year, which would be the best we've done since we started raising money for the Hospice.
"I'm really sore after the experience - but the customers had a good time and we had a great response."
