More than 100,000 people are expected to flock to St George's Square from Thursday to Sunday to enjoy the culinary delights of Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival.

World cuisines, live entertainment, cooking demos and kids' activities are all on the line-up for the 2014 event - but what weather lies in store for revellers?

According to Huddersfield weather expert Paul Stevens, the end of the week will see some changeable weather, with perhaps some heavy rain on the way.

While the early part of this week has been warm and dry, towards the weekend the weather will grow more humid and there could well be some rainfall.

He added: "After that, as we head towards the middle of August, things settle down again and we would have some warm, dry weather to end the summer holidays."

Visitors to this weekend's festival may be best packing a brolly - but hopefully wet weather won't get in the way of the festivities.
