A NEW online service is helping Huddersfield people find work.
Slivers-of-Time matches up people with free time to employers needing extra help.
The service is designed for those who want to fit work around other commitments such as study or childcare.
Huddersfield man Steven Cooper, one of the first people to take advantage of the scheme, said: “I was injured in a hit-and-run accident and can only do light work. I’ve just done some caretaking. I needed to get back to work because it’s boring at home.”
Kirklees Council’s Cabinet member for regeneration Clr Ken Sims (pictured second left) welcomed the scheme, which was launched in the district earlier this year.
