FOURTEEN fire engines from across Kirklees including two from Huddersfield were sent to a factory fire in Cleckheaton this morning.

The blaze broke out at around 2.15am and appliances from Brighouse, Elland, Dewsbury, Batley, Cleckheaton attended the blaze in Factory Street, Dudley Hill.

A fire service support unit has also been called to the scene.

It is believed the premises is a former mill.

Meanwhile Batley fire crews were diverted to a house fire in Victoria Road, Birstall after one man was reported trapped.

Fire fighters assisted in removing the man who was left in care of the ambulance service.
