DOZENS of wedding dresses will be on display in the Holme Valley this weekend.
Forty gowns, one dating back 100 years, will be exhibited at St Bartholomew’s Church in Meltham as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Celia Mitchell has organised the event to raise money for the church.
The display will include wedding dresses from Scotland and Pakistan as well as a Goth bridal gown.
The oldest dress dates from 1910.
The exhibition opens on Friday at 6pm. Tickets cost £5, with a glass of wine included in the price.
The display continues on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, Sunday from 2pm to 5pm and Monday from 10am to 5pm. Tickets cost £2.
