Andrew Taylor organised the perfect wedding for his glowing bride Mandy Barwick.

Andrew, 47, of Golcar, took on the task of organising the celebration for sweetheart Mandy, who runs some of the most glamorous events around as a day job.

Renowned charity fundraiser Mandy, 44, put her trust in Andrew who delivered in style.

“It was the perfect day,” said Mandy, who will now take Andrew’s surname.

“Everything was just fantastic. Andrew did everything so well I’m very worried he’s after my job. Maybe I could hire him out as a wedding planner!”

Andrew and his ‘wedding committee’ made up of Mandy’s friends had just six months to organise the ceremony, which took place at The Rock in Holywell Green on Thursday.

Andrew transformed the venue, even laying a dance floor.

There were performances from a Frank Sinatra tribute and Take That 2.

Friends also sang at the wedding and guests were in tears at a hilarious rendition of Mandy’s favourite Christmas song, Little Donkey.

Mandy, who now works for the Huddersfield Town Foundation, was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in July 2011 and has had several operations.

Accountant Andrew had repeatedly asked Mandy to marry him.

Despite her illness she continued to raise funds for various charities and always insisted she was too busy.

Mandy chose her dress and was given the time and date of the wedding, but all the rest was left to Andrew.

“It all went like clockwork,” he said.
