FORTY students had to be evacuated after the bus they were travelling on caught fire.
The group, who attend Huddersfield New College were on the bus in New Hey Road at Ainley Top when the fire started in the engine compartment.
Crews from Huddersfield and Elland were quickly at the scene around 8.35am this morning.
