SIX Huddersfield Giants players who were arrested in January following allegations of rape have had their police bail extended until April 16.
The so-far unnamed players were initially bailed until tomorrow following an alleged incident at the club's pre-season training camp in Newcastle but a spokesman for Northumbria police said on Wednesday that inquiries are still continuing.
The six were questioned by police in Newcastle after a 22-year-old woman alleged that she was raped in the early hours of January 19.
Huddersfield managing director Richard Thewlis declined to comment on Wednesday.
