A FILM premiere has raised £3,600 for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.

Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table hosted the Yorkshire premiere of the new movie at the Odeon Cinema last night.

Andrew Spencer, Pendragon Chairman said, "One of my objectives for my year as chairman was to hold a significant fundraising event for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.

"Thanks go to the Odeon Cinema which loaned us the use of the cinema and let us have the film two weeks before its UK release, to our sponsors for covering the cost of the event and of course to the audience for filling every seat.

"By doing that they helped us to raise the maximum we could from this event."

Andrew Spencer and Julian Goodall, who organised the event, presented the cheque to Mandy Barwick, senior fundraiser, and Town manager Peter Jackson, patron of theTrust, which wants to build a children's hospice in Kirklees or Calderdale.

Chairman Andrew Spencer said, "We are a fantastic social club with a big conscience and, as well as fundraising, we enjoy many diverse social activities."
