The charity event and disco was held at Dryclough Sports and Social Club, Walpole Road, Crosland Moor.
Volunteers from Walpole Community Centre were helped by shops and other sponsors to
promote the evening - which was suggested by local children.
Organisers hoped to present a cheque on the night to Mrs Hester Deakin, vice-chairman of the Huddersfield Save The Children Fund.
