Search for fans ... 10 years on

THE search is on for two special rock fans.

Both got closer than most the last time rock giant Bryan Adams played in Huddersfield.

And now they have been offered the chance to meet the star - officially!

Organisers of Adams' monster gig at the Galpharm Stadium on June 1 want to track down the pair, who managed to get on stage the last time around.

One was a girl who jumped up on the stage of the then McAlpine stadium to dance with the rocker during one of his numbers.

And the other was a fan who gave his name as Paul and did his own version of the Adams hit, Summer of 69.

Stadium boss Ralph Rimmer said: "It was a great night out the last time Bryan Adams played the stadium, back in 1996, and particularly for those two fans.

"Now he is coming back we'd like to try and track down the fans who got up on stage with Bryan and make sure they have a VIP time at this summer's concert.

"It's a great opportunity for them to get to meet the great man in person."

Anyone who has details about the fans should contact Stadium staff Linda Myers or Lesley Turner on 01484 450000.

Adams' gig at the Stadium on June 1 kicks off the European leg of his 2006 tour.

The tour will take him through Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Wales and England.
