SUPERHEROES will take over the town on Saturday to raise the profile of the children’s hospice appeal.
As part of National Children’s Hospice Week, volunteers, supporters and hospice staff will be collecting in the town in fancy dress.
The West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust will be in Huddersfield town centre this Saturday, May 15.
Volunteers will hold further fundraisers as part of the awareness drive in Halifax town centre on May 19 and Wakefield city centre on May 22.
The week gives children’s hospices the chance to raise awareness of their work.
Work on the hospice at Brackenhall is expected to start in the summer. It will serve children with life-limiting and terminal illnesses in the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield areas.
