A DEWSBURY Moor soccer team made it double top at a football championship.

The team were winners in the West Yorkshire Midnight Soccer competition and player Lamin Cisse won the Fairplay award in Halifax at the weekend.

Teams from Lockwood and Hylands represented the Huddersfield Midnight Soccer scheme.

Midnight Soccer is a nationwide programme designed to give youngsters aged 14-17 years something to do on a Friday night and was launched in Dewsbury seven months ago.

It is run by Kirklees Sports Development with the Kirklees Youth Service and is supported by the police and fire services.

Sessions take place at St John Fisher School, Dewsbury and at the multi-use games area in Royds Park, Cleckheaton, between 7pm and 8.30pm on Friday evenings.
