A NEW exhibition opens at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop, Mirfield, on Saturday.

The exhibition, In-Visible Ink, features the work of 16 artists including two Royal Academicians: Stephen Chambers and Anthony Green.

In-Visible Ink opens on May 7 with a meet the artist event from 6pm when Kip Gresham will talk about his work.

Kip delivered a popular printmaking course at the Mirfield studio last year.

He was invited to exhibit his prints and chose to show his work alongside artists associated with his print studio.

The Cambridge-based Print Studio makes original prints using a variety of techniques, involving current technologies to methods from as far back as the 17th Century.

Each year the studio publishes prints by the artists and the exhibition is drawn from a selection of these.

Artists included in the Mirfield exhibition are Royal Academicians Stephen Chambers and Anthony Green, who are members of the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts.

Gallery manager Louise Crosby said: “We are delighted to be able to show the work of so many great printmakers.

“With such varied styles and subject matter there is sure to be something for everybody.”

The exhibition ends on Saturday, June 4, when it moves to venues in Scotland.
