A WOMAN driver had the shock of her life when a crane crashed into her Nissan Micra.
The Kirkheaton woman, in her 30s, was travelling alone in stop-start traffic along Leeds Road, heading towards Huddersfield town centre.
She was on a straight stretch of road opposite the Leeds Road playing fields when the crane hit the rear of her car.

POLICE are considering if the Kirklees councillor who voted in a budget meeting while in council tax arrears has committed a crime.
Kirklees Council has referred the unnamed councillor to West Yorkshire Police.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “The matter has been referred to the economic crime unit.
