POLICE have described a burglar who struck in Birkby.
The man crept into a house on St John's Drive while the woman who lives there was in her garage. She went back in her home and found him inside.
He fled, but had stolen cash. The crime happened at about 10.15pm last Saturday, but details have only just been released.
The intruder was white, aged 20 to 30, about 5ft 5in tall and slim, with short, cropped, black hair. He wore black clothes with a white motif on his top and a thick gold ear-ring.
