She’s already tackled the mountains of England and Scotland.

And now the wife of Giants legend Danny Brough is to spend five days attempting to climb Kilimanjaro in October to raise money for charity.

Jenna, the mother of two young boys William and Henry, says having climbed Ben Nevis and the Three Peaks she felt the “need to do something different.”

The Spectrum Kilimanjaro Challenge 2015 is to help support the Steve Prescott Foundation, (SPF).

Each climber aims to raise at least £4,000 for the three charities of the SPF: the Christie Hospital, Try Assist and the Oxford Transplant Foundation.

The climb is in the spirit of Steve Prescott, a family friend of the Broughs and much-loved and talented Rugby League player, who sadly died from a rare tumour in November 2013.

And the added challenge is to climb the 19,341ft mountain in just five days instead of the more usual nine.

The climb proves the stiffest of tests and there is a high failure rate as each individual’s fitness and mental stamina is challenged at high altitude.

Jenna has already raised many thousands of pounds for charity, leading a team of Huddersfield Giants’ players’ wives and girlfriends to the top of Ben Nevis

Jenna said: “Kilimanjaro is a challenge I just cannot wait for.

“ It’s the biggest challenge for me so far and to say I’ve done it will just be an understatement.

“I’m looking forward to climbing alongside a team of 31 members who will be pushing each other along the way.

“I am looking to raise £4,000 for the Steve Prescott Foundation. I just love helping others and doing fundraising.”

Asked if Danny had given her any advice she said: “He says you will be fine. Don’t worry about it.”
